More Than 1 Million Guys Had Procedures In '03. A record number of men -- more than 1 million -- underwent plastic surgery in 2003, and that number is only expected to increase, according to experts. In fact, according to facial plastic surgeon Dr. Bill Miles, 20 percent of his patients are men. "Men are definitely more interested in improving their appearance than they ever were, certainly in the last decade," Miles said.
