hair transplant How is the operation done?

The principle of grafting is straightforward. Small areas of hair-bearing scalp, each containing a few hair follicles are moved from the area of thick hair to the balding area.
Hair flap surgery is more complex. The hairless area is removed by surgical excision and then the adjacent hair-bearing scalp is moved in to replace it.
In tissue expansion a small balloon is placed below the scalp and the skin with thicker hair is stretched to produce extra hair-bearing scalp. This is then moved into the new position to replace a bald area.
