INFORMATION FOR DR. HUDSON'S PATIENTS secondary rhinoplasty related articles Most of my patients who have a rhinoplasty are happy with the outcome. A small number, perhaps 5-7% will need additional surgery a secondary rhinoplasty. All surgeons have cases which do not go according to plan and I am no different in this respect from other plastic surgeons. As a routine in my practice I will perform surgery to correct a problem only once or twice. If I do not feel I am getting the desired result at that time I will usually obtain a second opinion . I do not charge a fee for this additional surgery but the patient is responsible for any other costs such as anesthesia or operating room charges. I will not do additional surgery which I feel puts the patient at medical risk . Do not hesitate to ask questions.
