May I drink alcohol around the time of surgery?

Narcotics and sleeping tablets will interact with alcohol so do not drink at the same time as you take them. They will also make you drowsy so do not drive while you are taking them.
After the first few days when you are not taking pain killers you can drink a small amount of alcohol. Remember do not drink and drive.
