- After surgery do I need to wear any special clothing or garment?
If you need to wear a special garment your doctor will either put it on at surgery or give you instructions about getting one. At surgery you will probably have a splint placed on the outside of the nose and a pack in the inside. It is important that you do not remove the splint or pack.Your doctor will remove the pack after a few days and the splint at about a week after surgery. If the pack comes out on its own do not try to replace it. Loose parts of the pack can be cut with a pair of scissors.
