facelift
Can I get the same results without surgery?
-

Surgery is only done when no good alternative exists. Your need may fall into this category. Without surgery, signficant aging change in the face cannot be corrected. When you were examined in your doctor's office, the doctor usually checks the possibility of other treatments. The advantages and disadvantages of surgery in your case were balanced. If the advantages of surgery outweigh the disadvantages then surgery is recommended. If you have concerns or you are not clear about the operation, call your doctor before the operation. Make certain your mind is clear long before the day of surgery. Your surgeon wants you to go into the operation with a clear and confident attitude. Fine lines are sometimes treated by injections such as collagen or fat or implants of Goretex. Resurfacing the skin using the laser or chemical peels will also cause a slight tightening. Injections and resurfacing are not a substitute for a facelift.
